Open the Door to the Music of Scotland

Bagpiper playing in front of a large metal double door covered in 8-sided stars. There are signs on either side of the door that reads "High Court of Judiciary"

Could this be the most Scottish door of all? I was in Edinburgh this summer for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Walking down the Royal Mile, I heard faint sounds of bagpipes playing.

As we continued walking, weaving our way through the festival crowds, the music grew louder until, lo and behold, we spotted a Scottish bagpiper dressed in traditional garb playing in front of the grand door to the High Court Judiciary.

I couldn’t believe my luck! The most Scottish of music playing in front of my favorite subject of photography: an eye-catching door.
