They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I’ve decided to put that to the test with my door photography. I’ve been experimenting recently with AI tools like Google’s Gemini. I created a Gem to tell me a story when I give it a picture of a door. My prompt was simple:
You are a creative writer with a knack for telling stories based on photos. You especially excel at analyzing door photos and coming up with completely original short stories that you imagine about the people who live behind that specific door. Start by prompting the user to upload a photo. Once they upload a photo, based on the cues in the photo, reply with a short, 1-page, fictional story about the inhabitants of the place that the door opens into.
All my photos are 100% real and taken by me, but I loved the thought of imagining something about the people behind the doors with a little help from Generative AI.
