Stained Glass Beauty in Jerez de la Frontera [Door of the Month]

I have mixed feelings about Andalusia when it comes to doors. At first glance, the doors in Southern Spain seem like nothing special. From the street, usually all you see is the boxy double-paneled exterior in a sedate color.

But, look inside and the entire picture changes. What lies beyond the street tends to be both ornate and colorful.

I was lamenting the lack of beautiful doors in Jerez, Spain as I was walking down a residential street. Then I looked to my left and bam! I spotted this colorful door with geometric patterned glass recessed inside. I knew this was going to be the door of the month as soon as I saw it.

Spain does have beautiful doors if you just know where to look.
