I discovered the July 2025 door of the month on a business trip to Eastern Europe. My expectations of the doors I’d find here were low because the vast majority of this city was destroyed during World War II.
After the war, locals lovingly and painstakingly reconstructed the old town to be an exact replica of it’s pre-war state.
Where was I? Of course, I’m speaking about Warsaw. Today, the Polish capital has a much more modern skyline with lots of tall, glass skyscrapers. However, head to the historic core of Warsaw for a different experience and plenty of glorious doors.
I definitely recommend taking a walk around Stare Miasto, Warsaw’s recreated Old Town. I did a lap around Rynek Starego Miasta, the Old Town Market Square, and then had a wander around the cobbled streets radiating from here.
That’s where I found the door of the month. The delightful facade of Gospoda Kwiaty Polskie, a restaurant in Old Town Warsaw near the Market Square caught my eye immediately. The mottled surface of this Polish door combined with the real and painted flowers made me happy.
I hope this door makes you happy too!
