The latest door of the month takes us north to the Baltics.
My motto is work to live, live to travel, travel for work.
I was fortunate enough to have a business trip to Lithuania recently. I visited Vilnius for a weekend city break about 10 years ago and I appreciated the opportunity to make a return trip.
As I was walking around Old Town Vilnius, I noticed a small alleyway leading off of a main road (Subačiaus gatvė). I peered down the narrow street and saw an entrance that potentially looked interesting and so I decided to go and have a look.
I love door photography because it encourages me to walk more. I wandered down this Lithuanian side street and was wowed by this distressed wooden double-paneled door with ornate metal trim around the side lites and transom window that I discovered.
I absolutely love the vibe of this Baltic door, don’t you? Get curious and you never know what you might find.
