A Yellow Georgian in Dublin [Door of the Month]

Bright yellow Georgian door. The door is flanked by two stone columns. There are pots of yellow flowers in front of the door. The door has an original Georgian fanlight and a stained glass lamp.

This keeps happening! Once again, I had my November door of the month all picked out and ready to go. Then, I took a door photography walk on a business trip to Dublin, Ireland and fell in love with this door instead.

Dublin is where my love of door photography began. I walked over 20,000 steps each day of my trip in an attempt to visit all my “old friends.”

This spectacular yellow Georgian door is tucked away down a small street across from Dublin’s Royal Hibernian Academy, just a stone’s throw from St. Stephen’s Green. It’s not a through street so you have to be looking for it.

The combination of the uplifting bright yellow color combined with the matching flowers spotted on a gray winter day in Dublin made me say, without question, “yup, this is it!”…my November door of the month.
