Costa Nova near Aveiro is one of the most Instagrammable places in Portugal in my opinion. Why? The coast is lined with palheiros, cottages where fisherman used to store their gear.
The palheiros are painted in bold stripes that really make their doors pop, don’t you think?
Fun fact: in addition to fabulous doors, this beach town near Aveiro is also home to flocks of flamingos. Definitely make time to spend a weekend in Aveiro on your Portugal itinerary!
