Happy Christmas from London (December 2025 Door of the Month)

I am a huge fan of city breaks and I like to shoehorn weekend trips around my day job (the lifeblood of our part-time travel lifestyle). I had a bunch of vacation days that I needed to “use or lose” before the end of the year and we decided to plan a long weekend of theatre, book shopping, and door hunting in London.

I love nosing around Marylebone, home to Daunt Books, one of my favorite bookstores in the world. This neighborhood of London is unbelievably posh and so I decided to look for beautiful doors decorated for the holidays while I was there.

That’s where I discovered the door of the month: the entrance to No. Ten Manchester Street Hotel. The hotel went all out for Christmas and I love the riotous greenery and baubles surrounding the very stately black door.
