Norwegian Purple Door

Bergen is a charming and colorful city that is a convenient gateway to the Norwegian fjords.

I spent a week in Bergen and was amazed by the quality and variety of the doors there. Bergen is definitely one of my favorite cities in Europe for door photography.

I spotted this fantastic purple door on my Bergen trip. The purple door contrasts perfectly with the mustard yellow facade. I simply love the pots of flowers that add a variety of colors to the scene.

Normally, I’m not wild about shadows, but the sun dappling this wooden building adds depth, don’t you think?
