Red Cottage Door in Dublin

Grand Canal Dock

Grand Canal Dock is one of Dublin’s hidden gems in my opinion. You’ll find cottages set in ornate brick frames in South Lotts, a series of quiet lanes behind Google’s European headquarters on Barrow St.

Modest row homes like this one were built in the early 20th century to house local dock workers. Today you’ll find locals living side-by-side with expat tech workers in this neighborhood.

Grand Canal Dock and the Dublin Docklands is one of my favorite places to photograph the stunning doors of Dublin. This is the place to fill your bingo card on a Dublin doors scavenger hunt!
