Red Door in West Cork Ireland

Red door surrounded by shrubbery and flowerpots on a teal wall in Skibbereen Ireland

West Cork is one of my favorite places to visit on an Irish road trip. Skibbereen is home to less than 3000 people, but is one of the population centers in West Cork.

I spotted this decorated red door surrounded by plants and greenery on a visit to Skibb. The cow heads to the upper right of the door made me smile.

This colorful door is the entrance to Bridge House, a Victorian-era Bed & Breakfast in Skibbereen that was voted the most unusual B&B in Ireland. I need to open this door and book myself a room here on my next trip to the region!
