Taking the ferry to Alameda is one of my favorite things to do in the San Francisco Bay Area. In December, Thompson Avenue in Alameda transforms itself into Christmas Tree Lane.
I spotted this grand white door sporting a classic Christmas wreath on a recent visit to the East Bay in winter. The showy portico with slap-dash holiday decorations made my festive season even better.
