Purple Door in the Irish Midlands

The Midlands is a region often overlooked by visitors to Ireland. We spent a week in Athlone on summer vacation a few years back and took the opportunity to explore the area by car.

I spotted this spectacular purple door surrounded by purple bricks on a white stucco wall in the small town of Glasson. Who wouldn’t want to open this door and step into the restaurant and pub on the other side?
